I wrote a review—anyone can read it—stating that he seemed to be a veteran electronic producer. Since that moment I got convinced that everything signed by this high talented musician would belong to the Very Best... and so it is. Highly recommended: «Fragmentos» is a polished gem. Favorite track: Fragmento #12.

The Spanish artist Balfa returns with a live album after almost 9 months since the self-release of his debut album Perfecta Analogía de la Decadencia. BLF Lab collaborates with the Danish label Fallen Metropolis, to release a collection of live soundscapes from his IN_FR project, a concert series exploring the aesthetics and behavior of
sound through handmade synthesizers.

Fifteen tracks reaching the boundaries of these machines lead on a sonic journey into ‘organic electronics’ that feel restless and unpredictable.
The music is taken from the performances and sessions made during 2019 and 2020 until the start of the pandemic.

Recorded in multiple places where Balfa improvised synthesizing the
sound only with his own crafted instruments, and edited down from a huge archive of recordings putting together the most interesting excerpts.

A very diverse spin on the SH aesthetic. Some tracks are very faithful to Yamaoka's original music and atmosphere while others offer an extremely divergent experience in the form of pop-and-rock-like remixes that caught me very off-guard at times. It's all over the place in terms of style and sound and mixing, so it's very unlikely that you'll enjoy everything or nothing at all. Summa summarum it's a project worth supporting. The streets crawl every second of the day, from packed transit lines in the morning to lonely glossy trains in the evening. Whether it be stumbling home for the afterparty or stumbling to work after the party, the way the city thumps in harmony doesn't ever stop.
